Missing Glastonbury Woman With Alzheimer's Disease Found Safe
A Glastonbury woman who was reported missing was located Tuesday night and is now safe, police said.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A Glastonbury woman suffering from Alzheimer's disease and dementia who had gone missing Tuesday was located and is now safe, local police said.
A Silver Alert had been issued for 55-year-old Joni O'Tool Tuesday evening. With the assistance of a Connecticut State Police canine unit, O'toole was located in a wooded area about a mile-and-a-half from her residence later on Tuesday night, police said.
She was transported out of the woods via a Glastonbury Fire Department all-terrain vehicle and was then brought to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries, police said.

Before she was reported missing, O'Toole was last seen on Tuesday afternoon, leaving her home on Birch Mountain Road in Glastonbury to take a walk.
Search efforts included both Glastonbury police and the local fire departments, drones from the South Windsor Police Department and Rocky Hill Fire Department, and the canine unit from the Connecticut State Police.
