Northeast 10 Conference Names Caiola Top Indoor Track Athlete

NEW HAVEN, CT — Southern Connecticut Women's Indoor Track and Field standout and Glastonbury native Hannah Caiola was named the Northeast-10 Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Year for the 2025 season.

The announcement was made by the conference on March 11.

Caiola was dominant on the track this season. She kicked off the campaign by setting the NCAA Division II Record in the 300 meters at the Boston University Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener.

She ran the third-fastest time nationally in the 400 meters at the Boston University John Thomas Terrier Classic with a time of 53.4. That time is 12th all-time in Division II.

Caiola also holds a top-50 time nationally in the 200m Dash. She won both the 200m Dash and 400m Dash at the Northeast-10 Indoor Track & Field Championships, and held the top time in the conference in the 200m, 300m, 400m, 500m, and 4x400m Relay.

She was named the NE10 Track Athlete of the Week twice and also landed on the NE10's Faces in the Crowd two times this season. She qualified for the 2025 NCAA Division II National Championships, which is her first time qualifying for the Indoor Nationals after placing ninth in the 400 meters at last years's Outdoor Nationals.

Caiola will compete next at the 2025 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships, held March 13-15 in Indianapolis, Indiana, at the Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion. The University of Indianapolis and Indiana Sports Corp will serve as co-hosts of the championships. The championships will be streamed live on www.NCAA.com
