Treatment Plant Work May Leave Glastonbury A Bit Smelly

GLASTONBURY, CT — Things could be a little stinky in Glastonbury over the next couple of days.

In a Wednesday morning announcement, town officials said that routine tank maintenance will be performed at the Glastonbury Water Pollution Control Authority facility on Wednesday and Thursday. The water treatment plant is located at 2149 Main St.

"Residents may observe a stronger odor than usual in the area surrounding the Water Pollution Control Facility on Wednesday and Thursday," officials said. "We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding."
