Woman With Knife Accused Of Invading Glastonbury Home: Police
Officers found the woman entering the house through a back window while armed with a knife overnight Monday, police said.
GLASTONBURY, CT — A woman has been charged with invading a Glastonbury home while armed with a knife overnight Monday, Glastonbury police said.
At around 12:14 a.m. Monday, police responded to a report of a person trying to enter a home on Risley Road.
There, they discovered the woman "armed with a knife and gaining entry through a rear window where an air conditioning unit had been forcibly pulled out," police said in their arrest report.

Police said the residents were inside their home at the time and know the woman, who was identified as Shirley Cartagena, 25, of Hartford.
Cartagena was charged with home invasion, second-degree threatening, disorderly conduct, third-degree assault and third-degree criminal mischief.

Officers held her at the Glastonbury Police Department headquarters on a $500,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear in court in Manchester today.
