I-95 Reopens After Multi-Vehicle Crash In Groton

A Connecticut State Police trooper was involved in the crash, according to officials.

(Original post) GROTON, CT — I-95 North is closed between Exits 85 and 86 in Groton because of a multi-vehicle crash, according to state transportation officials.

A state police cruiser was involved in the crash, according to Connecticut State Police.

"We are currently unable to anticipate the duration of this closure," police wrote in a post on Twitter around 5 p.m. "Anyone traveling in the area is asked to seek alternate routes & plan for traffic delays."

Exit the highway at Exit 85 and continue straight down the ramp to Long Hill Road. Take a right here and continue on for approx 1/4 mile to the I-95 North on ramp.
