Christine Conley for State Representative in Groton and New London

Why are you seeking office?

I am seeking my 5th term as the 40th House Representative to strengthen relationships with Hartford and bring more funding to Groton and New London for businesses, education, and infrastructure.

What do you believe is the No. 1 issue facing Connecticut, and how do you plan to address it?

Education funding and housing.

There have been an alarming number of deaths on Connecticut's roadways. Is there anything from a legislative standpoint that can be done to address that?

We have been funding wrong-way driving alerts and cameras for construction zone speeding to alert residents. Residents need to drive safer, which means slowing down, paying attention, and not texting.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I have brought over 250 million dollars to the district through school building, infrastructure funding, grants for businesses, and municipal projects. I have also worked on budgets that provide services for our residents and strengthened laws to protect coverage for pre-existing conditions and access to healthcare.
