Mystic River Drawbridge Repairs Continue In Groton

GROTON, CT — The Connecticut Department of Transportation will continue to make structural repairs on the Mystic River Drawbridge in Groton through Friday, according to Groton police.

Motorists can expect a shoulder-closed pattern and a single sidewalk closed, with both travel lanes remaining open to traffic, police said. Work on the bridge begins at 5 a.m. and runs to 5 p.m.

Though vehicle traffic will continue, the bridge will be closed to marine traffic through 5 p.m. on Friday, but police said that periodic openings may occur during the work window.
