Fuel Truck Crashes On I-95, Closes Lanes In Groton, Fire Officials Say

GROTON, CT — I-95 northbound between exits 88 and 89 is down one lane due to an accident involving a home heating fuel delivery truck, according to the Old Mystic Fire Department.
Emergency and environmental crews are dealing with the crash.

The accident was reported at 12:27 p.m., according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation.

The truck was carrying about 1,000 gallons of home heating oil, WTNH News-8 reported.
The truck's driver was removed from the vehicle and taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
