• Home Hit by Truck, Deemed Uninhabitable, Groton Police Say (patch.com) — A Groton home on Utica Court was heavily damaged Tuesday morning when a plow-equipped pickup truck crossed Fort Hill Road and crashed into the residence, which was later deemed uninhabitable. No one was inside the home, and the driver suffered only minor injuries, but a family has been displaced and is receiving help from Groton Police outreach staff and the Red Cross. Police say traffic on Fort Hill and Newtown roads has returned to normal while the crash investigation continues.
   

• Hartford man charged in human trafficking case (fox61.com) — Women were allegedly trafficked for prostitution in several Connecticut towns, including Groton-area hotels, as part of a case involving a Hartford man now facing human trafficking and related charges. Police say the women were moved between homes in East Hartford and Chester and exploited to pay off drug debts, with the suspect held on a high bond.
