Sophia Is An 'Excellent Leader': Groton Star Student Athlete

GROTON, CT — We all know student athletes who also bring their A-game to other parts of their lives.

Why do you believe the star student athlete should be recognized?

She is a good swimmer but more importantly an excellent student, leader of her swim team and excellent teammate. She is kind and is supportive of all swimmers. Sophia volunteers at the Mystic YMCA, helps coach younger swimmers. She is involved in her community and school. She participates on student council and makes positive change for students.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star student athlete?

She’s a great human.
