GROTON, CT — Police have issued a traffic advisory in conjunction with the Tour de Noank scheduled for Saturday.

Here's the statement from police:

Due to the running of the Tour de Noank Fun Run and 5K Road Race, the Groton Police Department announces a Traffic Advisory occurring Saturday, June 7, 2025, between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM, in the area of the Noank Village, CT.

The Fun Run begins at 9:30 a.m. and the 5K Road Race begins at 10:00 a.m. The starting line of the race is at Esker Point Beach. The course will take runners through Noank Village, onto Elm Street, then to Brook Street. Moderate traffic congestion in the Noank area is anticipated prior to, during, and immediately after the event. Anyone traveling in this area during these times is encouraged to use caution and drive safely.

Vehicle traffic in Noank Village and the following roads may experience short delays:

  • Groton Long Point Road: From Brook Street to Esker Point Beach.
  • Brook Street: Between Groton Long Point Road and Elm Street.
  • Elm Street: Between Groton Long Point Road and Brook Street.
  • Marsh Road: From Groton Long Point Road to Terrace Avenue.

It is expected that all roads will be clear of event related congestion by approximately 12:00 p.m. Thank you for your cooperation.
