2 Taken To Hospital After Violent Assault In Hartford: Police
One man in his 40s and another in his 50s were taken to Hartford-area hospitals following the Sunday night incident.
HARTFORD, CT — City police are investigating a violent assault on Franklin Avenue Sunday evening that sent two men to the hospital.
According to the Hartford Police Department, the incident happened at 248 Franklin Ave. at about 6:41 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5.
That's when Hartford police responded to that address for a report of an assault.

When police arrived, they found an adult male victim in his 40s suffering from "apparent slash-type and blunt-force injuries," police said.
He was transported to Hartford Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

While investigating, officers located a second male victim in his 50s nearby, also suffering from blunt-force injuries.
The second victim was transported to Hartford Hospital, where he too was listed in stable condition, police said.
The Hartford Police Major Crimes Division and Crime Scene Division responded and have assumed the investigation.
