Colorful Snake Found In East Hartford Resident's Bathroom: ACO

The East Hartford Animal Control Department is looking for the snake's owner, implying it was a pet that got away.

EAST HARTFORD, CT — Finding a disgusting house centipede in your bathroom in the morning is bad enough.

But East Hartford resident found another creature in the bathroom that tends to give homeowners the sweats ... a snake.

According to East Hartford Animal Control, a resident on Middle Drive in town visited their bathroom in their home and found a brightly-colored orange and white snake inside.

Local animal control officials posted an image of the reptile, which doesn't appear to be too big, inside of a plastic container.

While town animal control officials didn't officially say what species, circumstantial evidence online shows the snake looks exactly the same as an "albino milk snake," which is a product of captive breeding and not a native species.

It is also non-venomous.

Animal control officials indicated this wasn't a wild snake, but rather a missing pet.

"This little guy made his way into a resident's bathroom in the Middle Drive area," wrote animal control.
