Insomnia Cookies was supposed to open the city's first location back on Jan. 4, but it did not happen.

HARTFORD, CT — Plans to open a popular cookie bakery in the city were abruptly delayed earlier this month, with the new opening expected in about two months.

The cookie bakery is known for fresh-baked cookies that are also delivered.
It is also known for being open late into the night and early morning, making it a popular option for nighttime revelers craving cookies or those up late working/studying.
Insomnia's treats are especially popular on college campuses, with bakeries near Yale University and the University of Connecticut the other two Connecticut sites.
In Hartford, which boasts a sizable college student population in and of itself, Insomnia is looking to appeal to downtown visitors and residents alike as well.
It will become the 318th location nationwide.
