Hartford, CT—Hartford HealthCare is proud to announce that Faisal Hasan, MD, FACC, will join the Heart & Vascular Institute as co-physician-in-chief. Dr. Hasan brings a distinguished record of clinical expertise, academic leadership, and innovation in cardiovascular medicine. He most recently served as chief of cardiology and co-director of the cardiovascular service line at Rush University Medical Center, where he is also professor of medicine and The James B. Herrick, MD Endowed Professor of Cardiology.
His career includes fellowships at Harvard Medical School and Yale University, and research in AI-based predictive analytics and advanced imaging. At Rush, Dr. Hasan focused on leveraging big data to build team-based cardiovascular care models that deliver patient-centered precision medicine.

Dr. Hasan will join Wheatley Wentzell, senior vice president of operations, and Sabet Hashim, MD, FACS, co-physician-in-chief, in leading the Heart & Vascular Institute.
