'Hartford Taste Festival' Promises Samples, Live Music, Fun
Guests can enjoy "taste portions" from local eateries, shop from vendors and enjoy live music at the event this Friday and Saturday.

HARTFORD, CT — Hartford Taste Festival, a celebration of the area's restaurants, will fill Constitution Plaza this weekend.
The outdoor festival will take place on Friday and Saturday, running from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day. It is described on its website as a "celebration of good food and good music."
"People from throughout the region will come to our Capital City to taste a variety of food from our top-notch eateries, relax, and have fun," the website reads.

Admission is free, and attendees can pay for food using $1 and $5 tokens that will be available for purchase at the event's main entrance and at other "Token Tents" around the plaza.
Food vendors will be serving three to five "taste portions" of their favorite menu items. Vendors include Bear's Smokehouse BBQ, Frida, Jerk Shack, Perfect Poundcakes, The Place 2 Be, Poké Sushi, Ranch House Pizza, Wood-n-Tap and more.

A variety of drinks will also be available, served by restaurants like Dunkin', Ital Juicery Company and Juiced Up.
To complement the food and drink tastings, the event will offer a lineup of musicians, cooking demonstrations, cooking contests and vendors as well.
