Male, Female Teens Injured After Hartford Shooting Tuesday: Police
One of the victims had a gunshot wound while the other had an unspecified injury.
HARTFORD, CT — City police are investigating a shooting incident Tuesday night that sent two teens to the hospital, one with gunshot wounds, the other with an unspecified injury.
According to the Hartford Police Department, officers responded to a Shotspotter notification near 19 Ward St., finding "evidence of gunfire" upon arrival.
While police were on the scene, a 17-year-old male arrived at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center for treatment of a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, police said.

According to the HPD, Hartford Hospital later reported that a second victim was privately transported for treatment of an "injury determined not to have been caused by gunfire."
That victim, an 18-year-old female, was listed in stable condition, police said.

The Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.
