Man Dies After Being Hit By Delivery Truck At Hartford Residence
The man, a resident of Underwood Elderly Apartments, was apparently hit by the truck while it was backing up, police said.

HARTFORD, CT — A 64-year-old man has died after a delivery truck apparently backed into him at a Hartford apartment complex on Friday morning, police said.
Police responded to a report of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle at Underwood Elderly Apartments (25 Laurel St.) at around 10:16 a.m. Friday. There, they found the man — a resident of the apartment complex — suffering from injuries.
He was taken to a local hospital, where he died, police said.

"At this time in the investigation, it appears that the truck collided with the pedestrian while backing and appears accidental in nature," police said in a news release.
The delivery box truck's driver remained at the scene and was cooperative, police said.

The Hartford Police Department's Crime Scene Division is investigating the crash and charges may be pending, police said.
