Man Dies In Hartford Hit-And-Run: Police

The 62-year-old pedestrian was hit by a car in a Hartford intersection. The vehicle's driver fled the scene, police said.

HARTFORD, CT — A 62-year-old man died after being hit by a car that fled the scene in Hartford, police said.

The "vehicle vs pedestrian" crash took place at the intersection of Albany Avenue at Garden Street on Saturday night, with police responding at around 11:34 p.m.

The man was taken to an area hospital where he was initially listed in critical condition, and later died.

Police said the motor vehicle fled the crash before police arrived, and said investigators have found a suspect vehicle.

Hartford Police Department's Crime Scene Division has assumed the investigation of the crash.
