For "Triple Three," however, no official reason was given.
"After months of memories, laughter, hard work, and heart, we’re saying goodbye. June 1 will be the final day of The Triple Three," wrote Triple Three last Saturday, May 24.
"This place was more than a restaurant. It was home. It was family. It was a dream built with love and lived out loud."
The restaurant's Facebook page featured promotional videos involving staff, often in the form of comedy skits that talked up the eatery's offerings in a fun and humorous way.
According to "Triple Three's" profile with the Hartford Chamber of Commerce, the restaurant was banking on foot traffic from the nearby University of Connecticut Hartford campus, Travelers Insurance, and the Connecticut Convention Center to pull in business.
Now, less than a year after opening, "Triple Three" is closing.
In its goodbye message to the community, Triple Three thanks the community it was a part of for a few months.
"Thank you to every person who stepped through our doors, danced at our events, sat at our bar, supported our team, and made this journey unforgettable," wrote restaurant officials.
On Saturday night, May 31, Triple Three is hosting one, final celebration with food, drink, and music.
