Police Cruisers Hit By Stolen Army Vehicle In East Hartford: Reports

The stolen truck was eventually found in Manchester, and the driver is still at large.

EAST HARTFORD, CT — The local police department is investigating an incident on Wednesday involving a stolen government vehicle that damaged two East Hartford Police Department cruisers.

According to WFSB Channel 3, citing the EHPD, a blue Dodge pickup truck owned by the U.S. Army was stolen from a nearby recruitment event.

Officers tracked the truck to the 400 block of Main Street and attempted to stop the driver, WFSB reported.

Fox 61 reported that, when this happened, the driver backed the pickup into two cruisers and fled.

The truck was found in nearby Manchester, Fox 61 reported, but the driver is still at large.
