President Biden Is Coming To Connecticut

HARTFORD, CT — President Joe Biden will arrive in Connecticut on June 16, according to details shared by the White House with multiple news outlets.

The White House didn't share details of Biden's visit, but the Safer Communities Summit is scheduled to take place in Hartford on the same day of his arrival.

According to Senator Chris Murphy, major players in the gun safety movement are joining together for the summit, which will mark one year since the passage of the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act.

Attendees will plan for the Act's next steps at the summit, Murphy said.

Biden's last visit to Connecticut was in October 2021, when he made a pitch for his Build Back Better Agenda during a stop in Hartford.
