Several Charged After Major Hartford Drug Sweep: Police
The operation last week was part of an initiative in which drug 'hot spots' were targeted by the HPD.

HARTFORD, CT — City police last week charged six suspects on multiple drug charges following a major drug sweep.
On Dec. 3, the Hartford Police Department’s Narcotics Unit conducted a citywide operation targeting known “hot spot” locations and areas generating repeated community complaints.
"The coordinated effort resulted in numerous arrests and the seizure of significant quantities of illegal narcotics and U.S. currency," wrote the HPD in a statement issued Saturday, Dec. 6.

According to the HPD, seized were: 862 sleeves of fentanyl; 54 grams of crack cocaine; 14 bags of PCP; 80 sleeves of suboxone; and $8,487 in cash.

• Gloria Martinez, 44, of Hartford, was charged with possession of narcotics, possession with intent to sell, possession of hallucinogens, and sale of narcotics.
• Michael Tyson, 68, of New Britain, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to sell.
• Harold Stevenson, 65, of Hartford, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to sell.
• Sam Stevenson, 62, of Hartford, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to sell.
• Dashua Morales, 28, of Hartford, was charged with possession of narcotics and possession with intent to sell.
• Alexis Vazquez, 29, of Hartford, was charged with possession of narcotics and possession with intent to sell.
