Shooting Monday Night In Hartford Sends Man To Hospital: Police

The Hartford Police Department said the victim was in his 20s.

HARTFORD, CT — City police are investigating a shooting Monday night that sent a man to the hospital.

According to the Hartford Police Department, on Monday, Oct. 6, at about 7:07 p.m., Hartford police officers were dispatched to the area of 590 Maple Ave. following a ShotSpotter notification.

Upon arrival, officers located a male victim in his 20s who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds while inside a motor vehicle, police said.

The victim was transported to Hartford Hospital, where he is currently listed in stable condition, according to the HPD.

"Preliminary investigation indicates the shots were fired from another motor vehicle in the area," wrote the HPD. "The exact circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation."

The Hartford Police Major Crimes Division and Crime Scene Division responded to the scene and have assumed the investigation, police said.
