Third Crash On I-84 In Hartford Cleared: UPDATE

HARTFORD, CT — Interstate 84 in Hartford continued to be a traffic disaster Thursday, with a third accident snarling the ride for motorists, this one featuring a tractor trailer.

This accident, however, has since been cleared.

According to the state Department of Transportation, a tractor-trailer struck a vehicle on I-84 East between exits 48 and 49, resulting in the right lane's closure.

This accident, the third of the day in that area, was first reported at 1:32 p.m. and it is now no longer listed on the DOT's incident report.
