Warm Cookie Chain To Open New Shop In Hartford

With two locations already in the state, Hartford's site would be the chain's third in Connecticut.

HARTFORD, CT — With Connecticut's two major colleges already home to this popular warm cookie chain, Insomnia Cookies announced recently a new site will soon open in the state.

Insomnia already has shops specializing in gooey, warm confectionary delights at the University of Connecticut in Storrs and Yale University in New Haven.

And it announced late last month that one will soon open in Connecticut's capital city of Hartford.

The chain, via a social media post, did not say where or when it would open, but Hartford was included on a list of several U.S. locations planned to have an Insomia sometime "this fall."

WTNH Channel 8 has reported that Insomnia would be on Asylum Street in Hartford, not far from the XL Center.

Insomnia specializes in warm, fresh cookies, with several roating varieties accompanying the always popular chocolate chip.

It also utilizes ice cream for cookie/ice cream desserts that leave hungry mouths in a constant state of salivation.

Popular near college campuses, sugar-craving students often utilize Insomnia's delivery service, with custobers able to order a batch of cookies like they would a pizza.

Insomnia's world headquarters are in Philadelphia, Pa., and it boasts about 265 stores nationally.
