Woman Accused Of Killing Roommate In Orlando In 2022 Arrested In CT

In 2022, Runyleidy Medina-Pacheco​, 42, was reported missing by her roommate Gisselle Victoria-Gonzalez​, 42, and now she has been charged.

HARTFORD, CT — A woman, accused of killing her roommate in Orlando, Florida in 2022, was taken into custody in Hartford, police said.

Gisselle Victoria-Gonzalez, 42, who has been living in Hartford, was charged with second-degree murder, one count of tampering with physical evidence and one count of grand theft, police said.

Runyleidy Medina-Pacheco, 42, was reported missing on December 27, 2022, Orlando police said.

At about 1:30 p.m. on December 27, 2022, Orlando police responded to the 6200 block of Curry Ford Road in response to a missing person.

Victoria-Gonzalez, who contacted police, stated she had not seen her roommate, Medina-Pachecho, since December 25, 2022, police said.

"As the investigation continued, detectives discovered numerous inconsistencies in the version of events as described by Victoria-Gonzalez," according to Orlando police. "A search warrant was executed at their residence, where significant evidence was recovered, indicating a violent incident had occurred."

Following a "comprehensive investigation" involving multiple law enforcement agencies at the local, state, and federal levels, detectives determined that Victoria-Gonzalez was residing in Hartford, police said.

After traveling to Hartford and conducting an additional interview with her, investigators developed probable cause to charge Victoria-Gonzalez, police said.

"We would like to acknowledge the assistance of the Hartford Police Department for their support in this investigation," police said, while adding that the body of Runyleidy Medina-Pacheco has not been located.
