Bob's Discount Furniture Makes Move To Go Public
Bob's Furniture announced Friday that it has filed a federal registration statement relating to a proposed initial public offering.

MANCHESTER, CT — Little Bob is making a big move toward going public with his furniture empire.
Manchester-based Bob’s Discount Furniture, Inc., the parent company of the Bob's Discount Furniture chain, announced Friday that it has filed a registration statement on Form S-1 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission relating to a proposed initial public offering of shares of its common stock.
The number of shares to be offered and the price range for the proposed offering have not yet been determined, Bob's officials said.

"The proposed offering is subject to market and other conditions, and there can be no assurance as to whether or when the offering may be completed, or as to the actual size or terms of the offering," officials said.
The popular chain now has 200-plus stores since its founding by Bob Kaufman in 1991. Bob's is known for it's quirky commercials featuring "Little Bob" made out of the Manchester headquarters and the phrase "Oh my Bob" to highlight its traditionally low prices.

The stocks will keep that theme too. The Company intends to list its common stock on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol "BOBS."
J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, Morgan Stanley, RBC Capital Markets, LLC and UBS Securities LLC are acting as joint book-running managers for the proposed offering.
BofA Securities, Evercore Group L.L.C. and Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC are also acting as bookrunners for the proposed offering. Baird, KeyBanc Capital Markets Inc. and Raymond James & Associates, Inc. are acting as co-managers for the proposed offering.
"The proposed offering will be made only by means of a prospectus," Bob's officials said.
