2 Related Shootings Under Investigation: Middletown Police

MIDDLETOWN, CT — Police say they are investigating two related shootings that occurred on Thursday night and Friday afternoon.

At 8:40 p.m. Thursday, police responded to a reported shooting in the 140 block of Woodbury Circle.

"Investigation revealed that the intended target of the shooting was walking on the sidewalk with a 2-year-old family member when a vehicle approached," police said. "Several shots were then fired from the vehicle at the victim before the vehicle fled the area. No one was struck by the gunfire and there were no reported injuries."

At 3:25 p.m. Friday, police responded to a reported shooting on Inverness Lane.

"Investigation revealed that a vehicle approached a residence, at which time several rounds were fired from the vehicle into the front of the residence," police said. "No one was struck by gunfire and there were no reported injuries."
