Event is held Rain or Shine.  Tickets are Non-Refundable.

The Essex Rotary Shad Bake is our flagship fundraising event of the year.  At this quintessential New England event, you’ll enjoy a cookout that includes:

  • Fresh Fire Roasted CT River Shad or BBQ Chicken or Hot Dogs
  • Potato Salad
  • Green Salad
  • Lyman Orchard’s Apple Pie and
  • Fresh Brewed Coffee. (Soda/Bottled Water will also be available for purchase)
  • Shucked Clams & Oysters with all the fixin’s (available for an additional fee).
There will also be:
  • Live Music,
  • Antique Cars
Ticket Prices for this fundraiser are:$25 per Adult$12 for Kids (12-18)FREE for Kids (0-12)The Shad Bake is held Rain or Shine. (Although we far prefer the shine.) There is covered outdoor seating as well as seating inside the Elementary School. Tickets are non-refundable.
