'Hands Off' Rally To Descend On Middletown

MIDDLETOWN, CT — A large "Hands Off" rally is scheduled to descend on Middletown Saturday, police said.

The march is set to begin at 10 a.m. The starting point will be Washington Street and participants will proceed toward the South Green, where the rally will conclude and the participants will leave, police said.

Police said they don’t anticipate significant traffic or parking issues.

"We would like to assure everyone that this will be a peaceful rally," police said.

"The Middletown Police Department is fully prepared to support the event and ensure the safety of all participants, as well as the residents, businesses and visitors who call Middletown home. We are committed to maintaining a secure environment for all involved and will be monitoring the situation closely to handle any potential circumstances that may arise."

Police added, "Our priority is the safety and well-being of our community, and we are here to assist in any way possible. We appreciate the cooperation of our residents and ask for patience as we work together to ensure a peaceful and respectful demonstration."

The Hands Off movement is designed to protest the early actions of President Donald Trump and his close adviser, Elon Musk.
