Kids Health and Safety Day

This year’s Middletown
Kids Health & Safety Day is scheduled for Saturday, June 1st
from 11:00 AM- 3:00 PM (rain or shine) on Main Street in front of the police
station.

The popular event will feature health
and safety information on such topics as autism, brain injury prevention,
poison control, diabetes, and more. The Connecticut Free Masons will be providing
complete child-identification (including fingerprints, DNA, video, and
photograph).

In addition, parents and kids can walk through the fire safety
trailer, climb aboard a fire truck, and sit in a police cruiser. There will be
dental, vision, and spinal screenings.

New this year, is the Channel 8 Mobile
Weather Lab. Middletown Kiwanis is sponsoring a bike safety rodeo in the Court
Street Upper Parking Arcade and will be giving away a limited number of bicycle
helmets (quantities are limited). Entertainment includes K-9, martial arts,
dance, bagpipes, and drum demonstrations.

And for fun, there will be face
painting, a clown, magician, moon bounces, spin and sand art, DJ, and sports
team mascots as well as a limited number of free Rock Cats tickets (quantities
are limited).

Everything is free including
