Middletown Arrests: April 5-17
The following information was provided by the Middletown Police public information officer. An arrest does not constitute a conviction and all defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Middletown Police report the following arrests:
April 17
DISORDERLY CONDUCT, RISK OF INJURY TO A CHILD — At 7:37 p.m., police were called by a girl about a domestic fight between her father Bryan J. Burkle, 39, of Lee Street and mother. The report says Burkle hit his wife in the head and face several times. The girl told officers she tried many times to stop the parents unsuccessfully. Burkle, the report says, smelled of alcohol and had trouble standing up.

SIXTH-DEGREE LARCENY, RISK OF INJURY TO A CHILD — At 10:30 a.m., Linda Mozzicato, 44, of Newton Street turned herself into police on an outstanding warrant.
April 15
FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH FINGERPRINTS, INTERFERING WITH OFFICER, ASSAULT PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICER — At 9:39 a.m., Lisa Keleher, 52, of Main Street, Portland, was at Middlesex Hospital when police were alerted she had assaulted a paramedic. The emergency medical worker said she had swung at her and her co-worker several times, the report indicates, but calmed down during the ambulance ride. When they tried to remove her from the stretcher, police say, Keleher hit the woman's face, splitting her lip. The report says Hunt refused to be fingerprinted and made several "feeble attempts" to strike officers that were "unsuccessful." She has an April 22 court date and is being held on a $1,000 surety bond.
THIRD-DEGREE CRIMINAL MISCHIEF, DISORDERLY CONDUCT, INTERFERING WITH EMERGENCY CALL, POSSESSION LESS THAN HALF-OUNCE MARIJUANA — Police received multiple hangup calls with a person whispering at a home on Rose Circle while area residents called to report a fight. Joseph M. Velasquez, 19, of Hall Avenue, Meriden, was found pounding on a window there, the report says, demanding money from his girlfriend who reportedly ripped up his $50. Police found two small bags of marijuana each with .06 grams and metallic brass knuckles. The report says the Velasquez kicked in the back door of the apartment and broke the girlfriend's cell phone and pulled her away from the telephone. The report says he was arrested on Feb. 28 for a domestic there and on March 6 he stole an apartment key. There is a pending sixth-degree larceny warrant for Velasquez, the report indicates.
FAILURE TO RESPOND — At 5:25 p.m., Robert E. Flynn, 55, of College Street was seen by police standing at the corner of Main and Green streets with an outstanding warrant.
RECKLESS DRIVING, DISOBEYING SIGNAL OF OFFICER, FAILURE TO DRIVE IN PROPER LANE, STOP SIGN VIOLATION, FAILURE TO HAVE STOP LAMPS, INTERFERING WITH AN OFFICER — At 6:45 a.m. Matthew R. Labbadia, 18, of Farm Hill Road turned himself in on an outstanding warrant.
April 12
DUI, FAILURE TO DRIVE IN PROPER LANE — At 1:31 a.m., John A. D'Agostino, 36, of Penncove Road, Niantic, was in a Dodge Caravan stopped at the intersection of Vine and Washington streets. When the light turned green, the report says, he almost hit a car driving on Washington Street, then turned the wrong way down a one-way street. D'Agostino told officers he worked more than 100 hours that week and was extremely tired, then admitted he had drank two beers at TJ's Restaurant, the report says. He failed a sobriety test and a breathalyzer registered .138 and .123 blood alcohol content.
NARCOTICS NOT KEPT IN ORIGINAL CONTAINER — At 2:30 p.m., Patrick Morrison, 51, of no certain address was at the Middletown Area Transit station reportedly intoxicated. The report says he had an outstanding warrant and four Vicodin pills in an aspirin bottle. POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE — At 11 a.m., Michael D. Foster, 37, of Coleman Road turned himself in on an outstanding warrant.
April 11
VIOLATION OF PROBATION — At 9:50 p.m., John E. Heckstall II, 28, of Julia Terrace turned himself in to police on an outstanding warrant.
April 9
OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED — At 5:35 p.m., David Ragali, 28, of Spring Street was driving a Nissan on Hartford Avenue.
April 6
OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED, FAILURE TO DISPLAY PLATES — At 9:36 p.m., Shaquava Jenkins, 21, of Willow Street, Waterbury, was driving a Honda on Newfield Street that had no rear license plate. She was found with an outstanding warrant.
ILLEGAL OPERATION UNDER SUSPENSION, EVADING RESPONSIBILITY — At 10:28 p.m., police were called to a parking lot on Ferry Street about a car accident involving Brandon Bell, 28, of Burgundy Hill Road. The report says his girlfriend told police he took her car without permission and told her he was in an accident. At 5:27 p.m., police were called to a home on Prospect Street about the same car blocking a driveway. The report says the car's driver's side was damaged with a missing side view mire, wood on the ground and stuck to the door; Bell told police he had hit a telephone poll while backing out of the Prospect Street driveway and left the scene.
April 5
POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, INTERFERING WITH OFFICER, NON-STUDENT POSSESSING DRUGS NEAR SCHOOL — At 11:29 a.m., Deborah A. Allocca, 54, of Main Street was prostituting and selling narcotics at Liberty and High streets, according to the report. When police found her walking, she told them she picked up some clam chowder from a friend, although police know she sells prescription pills and use drugs. The report says she told officers she dropped loose change by a garbage can, but then picked up some small white wax bags with .5 grams of heroin inside. She told officers the drugs weren't hers but she'd bought them from a man for a woman.
