Middletown Police report the following arrests:
April 5
DISORDERLY CONDUCT — At 2:12 a.m., Benjamin Bacon, 32, of Camp Street shoved his female roommate while she tried to confiscate his keys to prevent him from driving drunk, according to the report. He walked away, police say, toward Westfield Street. Once found, he was apologetic.
ILLEGAL SALE OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, DISTRIBUTION OF SAME, NON-STUDENT POSSESSING DRUGS NEAR SCHOOL, POSSESSION LESS THAN A HALF-OUNCE MARIJUANA — At 11:38 p.m., police on Ferry Street saw an illegally parked Honda Accord with Salvatore Pizzuto, 19, of Prout Hill Road leaning inside the open front passenger door. The report says police saw him take a "shiny plastic object" from inside, and knowing he was an active member of the Bloods street gang, is known to have illegal firearms. He has two pending cases, the report says, including a felony possession of narcotics with intent to sell and possession within 1,500 of school. The report says a search revealed $420 in cash, a 3-inch folding knife, 12 small plastic bags of marijuana. During booking, police say, he swore at them and was allowed to make numerous phone calls to friends, relatives and a bondsman.

The report says Diane Ruddy, 51, of Silver Street and the male were in the living room drunk and the male said she threw a glass at him and punched him in the head three times. Throughout her arrest, police say, Ruddy was rambling about past arrests.
