Middletown High Crew Rowers Beat East Lyme, Glastonbury

Both crews also beat EO Smith High School in Storrs and Lewis Mills High School in Burlington this past weekend.

The boys' and girls' Middletown High School's Crew teams spent Wednesday racing on the Connecticut River.

Coach Wendy Sheil says it turned out to be the perfect day for a rowing competition, as Middletown high varsity crews both beat visiting teams East Lyme High School and Glastonbury High School.

This has both the boys' and girls' crews starting the season with a 4-0 record. Both crews also beat EO Smith High School in Storrs and Lewis Mills High School in Burlington this past weekend.

This is the best start in the last couple of years, Sheil says, adding there were strong showings in the junior varsity as well.
