Middletown Residents Finish 2022 Boston Marathon

MIDDLETOWN, CT — Eight Middletown runners competed in the 2022 Boston Marathon on Monday. Nearly 25,000 runners finished the marathon, including more than 350 from Connecticut.

Everett Hackett, 32, of Hartford, was the top Connecticut runner at 50th place with an official time of 2:24:56. Laura Pierce, 40, of Woodbridge, placed 127th among women and 2,251st overall with a time of 2:55:41.

Ben Lanza, 24, of Middletown, finished with an official time of 2:31:33 and placed 172nd overall and 157th among men, according to the Boston Athletic Association.

The remaining Middletown runners who competed were:

• Arissa Opalacz, 30, who finished with a time of 3:17:42.
• Robert Schaff, 56, who finished with a time of 3:39:23.
• Yvonne Lee, 46, who finished with a time of 3:59:14.
• Sarah Wiliarty, 53, who finished with a time of 3:59:23.
• Anne Manning, 55, who finished with a time of 4:25:17.
• Mary Schmitt, 54, who finished with a time of 5:27:52.
• Ashley Dunn, 36, who finished with a time of 5:37:36.
