Relay Team From Xavier Places Second At New England Championships
A 4-man team of Falcons captured the runner-up spot at the New England Indoor Track and Field Championships Saturday in Boston.
BOSTON, MA — A relay team from Xavier High School in Middletown wound up in second place Saturday at the New England Indoor Track and Field Championships Saturday at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center.
The 4 x 800 quartet of Owen Martin, Landon Rubano, Ian Schmeelk and Jack Ouellette crossed the finish line in 7:48.44, less than a half-second behind champion Ridgefield. Martin was third in the 3,200-meter run.
