The South Fire District will host a sending-off party for firefighter Ryan Parmelee on Sunday at noon. Ryan has served his country in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant First Class, is assigned to the 3rd Medical Command out of Ft. Gillem, Ga., and is to deploy in May. This will be his sixth tour overseas.
