Wesleyan Cardinals Head to Trinity Hoping for Perfect Football Season
Middletown's team is 7-0 and hoping to claim its first perfect season since 1969, while the Bantams are trying to hold onto their 50-game home winning streak.

When the Wesleyan University Cardinals head to Hartford today to face off against football rivals the Trinity College Bantams they have quite a record to protect.
Middletown's team is 7-0 and hoping to claim its first perfect season since 1969, while the Bantams are trying to hold onto their 50-game home winning streak, according to the Hartford Courant.
Last week, the Cardinals beat Little Three rival, the Williams College Ephs, 16-14, allowing the Middletown team to claim the Little Three football title for the first time in 43 years, according to the Wesleyan Connection.
The Little Three is a rivalry between Wesleyan, Williams College and Amherst College, which dates to the late 19th century, according to the Wesleyan Connection.
Today's game, which takes place during Trinity's homecoming weekend at Jessee/Miller Field, begins at noon and will be televised live on CPTV sports. Trinity is behind Wesleyan by one game in the New England Small College Athletic Conference standings.
