Xavier Claims Fourth Straight CIAC Indoor Track State Championship

NEW HAVEN, CT — For the fourth straight season, Xavier High School brought home a state title by capturing the CIAC Class L indoor track and field championships Tuesday at the Floyd Little Athletic Center.

The Falcons compiled 88 points to easily outdistance the 58 of runner-up Windsor. Bethel placed third with 46.

In addition to the team crown, Xavier also prevailed in two individual events. Owen Martin edged teammate Jack Ouellette to win the 1,600 meter run in 4:24.15, then the two flip-flopped positions in the 3,200 meter run, with Ouellette winning in 9:37.10.
