Xavier Wrestlers Win Class L Title; Middletown Grappler Wins Division
The Falcons captured five of 14 weight classes to cruise to victory in the Class L Championships Saturday.

WILTON, CT — Three-time defending Class L wrestling champion Xavier made it four straight titles Saturday, utilizing first-place finishes in five of 14 weight classes to breeze to victory over runner-up Newtown.
The Falcons had an amazing 14 placewinners over the course of the two-day competition, including a second and six thirds. Xavier compiled 343 points to far outdistance Newtown, which had 251.
Isaiah McDaniel of Middletown High School won individual honors in the 106-lb. weight class.
