Bobcat Spotted In Milford: Video
I happened to spot a bobcat prancing through my yard Wednesday morning.

MILFORD, CT — Bobcats are spotted once in a while in Milford, and I managed to see one prancing through my yard Wednesday morning.
I'm more accustomed to seeing squirrels, Amazon delivery drivers, and occasionally deer near my front doorsteps. This was the first time a bobcat was captured on my Blink camera.
So far, there have been seven bobcat sightings reported to the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection this year in Milford.

Bobcats are the only wild cat found in Connecticut, according to the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. Adult males are typically between 32 and 37 inches in length and weigh between 18 and 35 pounds. Females typically max out around 32 inches and 30 pounds.
Bobcats are most active just after dusk and right before dawn. Their diet mostly consists of small woodland animals such as squirrels and chipmunks, and they are capable of taking down deer that are either very sick, injured, old or young.
