Car Catches Fire On Sikorsky Bridge: Milford Fire Dept.

Milford Fire Department and Stratford Fire Department worked together to extinguish the car fire, Adam Hansen, PIO, said.

On Tuesday, around 7:54 p.m., Milford Fire and Stratford Fire Departments were dispatched to a reported car fire on Route 15 Southbound between Exit 54 and 54 on the Sikorsky Bridge, Hansen said.

MILFORD, CT — It was a team effort by the Milford Fire Department and Stratford Fire Department to put out a car fire Tuesday evening, Adam Hansen, Milford Fire Department PIO, said.

On Tuesday, around 7:54 p.m., Milford Fire and Stratford Fire Departments were dispatched to a reported car fire on Route 15 Southbound between Exit 54 and 54 on the Sikorsky Bridge, Hansen said.

Milford Engine No. 7 arrived on the scene and found a car with its engine on fire, Hansen said.

Due to the incident's location and mutual aide agreements, Stratford’s Engine No. 4 arrived, and members from both departments worked together to extinguish the fire, Hansen said.

No occupants reported any injuries. All apparatus and members made it off the highway without any injuries, Hansen said.
