MILFORD, CT — A car struck a building on Boston Post Road on Tuesday afternoon, according to Fire Battalion Chief and Public Information Officer Adam Hansen.

Milford Emergency Operations Center received a 911 call stating a car had driven into the CVS at 989 Boston Post Road at 1:43 p.m.

Firefighters arrived and found that a car had struck an outside wall of a building.

One person was transported to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The building department was called to check on the structural stability of the building, Hansen said.

Locust Street was closed Tuesday afternoon due to the crash.

Milford police posted the following:

"Locust St between Cherry St and Boston Post Rd will be closed due to a motor vehicle accident. Please avoid the immediate area at the moment."
