MILFORD, CT — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

Hero's job: Volunteer

Relationship to nominee: Milford Lions Club

Reason for recognition: He has worked to distribute food to those in need. He even came up with an idea of backpacks with can goods that pop tops. He does this as well as distributing food through food bank. He goes into the woods and areas that the needs are at.

One thing to know: Generosity and willingness to serve others.
