I-95 Reopened In Milford After Crash, Person Detained By Police

Update 1 p.m.: East Haven police confirmed that they were on the scene earlier today. Police from multiple departments are now working with the state police and state Inspector General office.
"I can confirm that East Haven Police Department personnel are on scene in the area of I-95 south bound exit 36 in Milford for an incident involving a wanted suspect," East Haven Police Spokesman Capt. Joseph Murgo said. "No injuries were reported as a result of this incident and a suspect is in custody."
Update 12:10 p.m.: I-95 has reopened in both directions.

Update 10:40 a.m.: State police were assisting East Haven police with the incident, according to the Connecticut Post. A motorist reported seeing police chasing a sedan
Update 10:10 a.m.: There is a heavy police presence in the area. Video obtained by WTNH shows a large group of police detaining someone near exit 36.

Update: Both directions of I-95 are now closed in Milford. The northbound side is closed between exits 35 and 36. The southbound side is closed between exits 38 and 36.
Original post: MILFORD, CT — I-95 northbound is closed in Milford due to a one-vehicle crash between exits 35 and 36, according to the state Department of Transportation.
The crash was reported at 9:43 a.m.
