Lovesac Opens "One Of The largest" Showrooms In Milford
"With this location, we can reach more customers in and around Milford," Amy Bochicchio, Lovesac Milford manager, said.
MILFORD, CT — Lovesac had all Counties covered in Connecticut except one, New Haven County, so Milford became the sixth city to have a Lovesac Showroom.
The Stamford-based company opened its sixth store in Connecticut at 1642 Boston Post Road, also known as Milford Marketplace.
“We officially opened at this location on Sept. 29,” Amy Bochicchio, Lovesac Milford manager, said.

Lovesac has over 300 showrooms nationwide, but the Milford showroom is one of the largest ones that opened in several years to show the products called "Sactionals."
“Some of the showrooms are in Malls, and others are in free-standing areas, but this space is a big space for Lovesac,” Sean Baker, showroom manager, said.

One of the reasons Lovesac opened at 1642 Boston Post Rd. is because there are different options for furniture places in the area.
“This actual space and shopping center is a great focal area, and this is a good market,” Bochicchio said. “With this location, we can reach more customers in and around Milford.”
Another location where Lovesac is in Westport, but Lovesac wasn’t reaching the New Haven County customer.
“We are located right in the middle of where everybody else, making this a great location,” Bochicchio said.
Baker said he’s starting to see families coming into Lovesac who have already visited other furniture places.
“We are one of their destinations, and often we are more attractive than other furniture because we can deliver it fast, and they might want something machine washable because they have kids or pets,” he said.
Even though Lovesac has been open in Milford for a short time, Bochicchio said the community and customer reaction has been positive and excellent.
“It will only get better,” she said.
The Lovesac concept is simple.
“If you can think up a configuration, you can build it,” he said. “All covers and fabrics are removable, machine washable and changeable over time.”
The seats come in three different densities, and once the customer decides what density they want, it’s just a matter of how many pieces they build.
“They are shipped quickly to their front door,” he said. “We ship quickly within a two-week time frame. We pride ourselves on quick delivery, quality and complete flexibility of shapes.”
One of the goals of Lovesac is to become more sustainable, and they do that by the way they produce the sactionals and by the way they can be put together in different configurations.
“One of the company’s goals is that you don’t have to replace your couch. You can just add on,” Bochicchio said. “Every Lovesac purchased saves four sofas from going to landfills daily.”
“A lot of our products are made from recycled water bottles,” Jason Chadbourne, assistant manager, said.
An area Lovesac is exploring is immersed sound within the sactional.
“Lovesac teamed up with Harman Kardon for the sound,” Baker said. “The idea is to have immersed sound within the sactional. There are speakers inside the sactional, which also features wireless charging for your phone. You can have sound coming from the sactional or quiet the couch entirely and have it be played through the sound bar.”
