Major New Retailer Opens In Vacant Rite Aid Space In Milford
A national clothing retailer's third location in Connecticut of is now open in Milford.

MILFORD, CT — Boot Barn has opened its third location in the state in Milford. Described as "the nation’s leading lifestyle retailer of western and work-related footwear, apparel, and accessories," Boot Barn held a grand opening last week at its 1360 Boston Post Road home.
The new Milford store offers a wide selection of brands, including Levi’s, Carhartt, and UGG, along with Boot Barn’s in-house labels.
"With over 1,700 styles of work boots in stock, the store can serve the needs of hardworking professionals across industries such as construction, agriculture, electrical, warehousing, oil and gas, and mining," according to a Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce statement.

Boot Barn also has locations in Connecticut in Manchester and Plainville.
Its 11,000-square-foot location was formerly home to Rite Aid.

Rite Aid shuttered its Milford location last year while closing 77 other stores. The company filed for bankruptcy in 2023.

Boot Barn now operates 441 stores in 46 states, according to its website.
"More than just a retail store, Boot Barn is deeply committed to supporting the communities it serves," the statement reads. "Boot Barn hopes to bring the Western culture nationwide through partnerships, sponsorships, and active participation in rodeos, concerts, and local events."
