Milford Firefighters Contain Fuel Spill

A saddle fuel tank was ripped from a truck Tuesday. Firefighters contained the spill before it reached any water sources.

MILFORD, CT — Firefighters stopped a fuel leak after a saddle fuel tank was ripped off a tractor trailer.

The incident was reported around 1:40 p.m. Tuesday. Firefighters managed to contain the diesel spill before it reached waterways or storm drains. Firefighters used a wax ring to stop the tank from leaking.

No injuries or hazards were reported.
