'Modern Dining Destination' Charts Opening In Downtown Milford

MILFORD, CT — A new cafe and wine bar is coming soon to downtown Milford. Sorrento Cafe & Wine Bar will open at 9 River St. in the former Strega space.

The establishment is set to open late this year, possibly in November, according to The Connecticut Scoop.

The new spot "evokes the charm of an Italian cafe and offers our patrons the experience of eating in Italy," according to its Facebook page. Sorrento is described as "a modern dining destination that blends the warmth of Italian inspiration with a fresh, contemporary twist."

The restaurant will include a wine list with vintages from across the world.

Strega, also an Italian restaurant, permanently closed its Milford location and moved to Chapel Street in downtown New Haven, according to its Instagram page.
